Greenbix Featured in Enterprise Sparks by NUS Enterprise
Louis Chan reflects on Greenbix’s innovation journey and lessons in sustainable entrepreneurship.

When we launched GreenbiX, we set out to challenge the status quo in HVAC engineering. Even though it was challenging navigating a new sector and had to prepare materials till late nights, I believe it was a necessity. Yet I’m clear: we’re not where we want to be and there’s still so much more to achieve. The lessons I’ve learned along the way will guide us as we scale forward.
When Eileen Khoo from NUS Enterprise invited me to share our story in Enterprise Sparks, it allowed me to reflect and reinforced a fundamental truth: entrepreneurship is about bias to action, not waiting for perfect conditions. I believe deeply in iterating quickly—testing ideas, learning fast, and refining relentlessly—because there is no such thing as the “perfect” moment to act.
Key takeaways from my journey so far:
→ Humility fuels growth—acknowledging gaps today paves the way for breakthroughs tomorrow.
→ Bias to action beats overthinking—momentum comes from doing, not debating every scenario.
→ Cross-industry thinking unlocks new insights—a commercial background is a competitive edge in deep engineering.
→ Work with boundaries—late nights work for me, but I recognise it isn’t for everyone. Mental health and balance matter; know your limits and find what rhythm drives your best work.
Looking forward to continuing to embrace the gap between “here” and “there.” Don’t wait for perfect—iterate, learn and drive forward.
